Shannyn Gelbart

Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. Shannyn has been singing since she could talk.  Shannyn studied music and performance all the way through to University and completed an Advanced Diploma in Sound Engineering at RMIT.  In the last two years, Shannyn has spent over nine months in the United States, teaching and learning Jewish music in Jewish summer camps and discovering a passion for contemporary Jewish music.  Shannyn has been a Jewish Life Fellow at the Centre For Living Judaism since August last year, working within the King David School and with communities throughout Australia and beyond to run and create programming, lead Shabbat and holiday services, and connect people of all ages with Judaism. Shannyn also writes and performs her own Jewish-inspired music under the name 'shannyn.art'  and released her debut album  'Only Love' on iTunes earlier this year.
